Fumio Tanabe (田辺 文雄) is a sound designer formerly affiliated with Tamsoft and a sub composer of the Battle Arena Toshinden series of games up through Puzzle Arena Toshinden.

Originally involved with porting most of the Retake & Remix arrangements of these songs to the PlayStation sound chip (and rearranging Ellis' theme from the original game) for its overseas release as well as the later Saturn release, Tanabe would later create new compositions for the series starting with its second installment.
